Hello everyone! I had the opportunity to see the new movie 'Beautiful Creatures' this Wednesday evening so I thought I'd share some pictures from the evening with you all!
First off, here is what I wore to the red carpet event:
Emerald with white lining top: Forever 21, black skirt: Forever21, patterned tights: Target, Gray boots: Justfab.com
I really enjoyed this film and would certainly watch it again! I didn't really know what to expect from the commercials but I ended up liking it a lot! I was certainly entertained the whole way through.
After we saw the film, we walked on over to the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood for the After party:
The inside was decorated with hanging spanish moss to look like the atmosphere in the movie (its set in the deep South and there are several scenes with bayous).
I got a chance to chat with the producer, director, and the male lead, Alden Ehrenreich. He was my favorite part of the film because he was just so adorable.... meeting him in person basically made me melt into the floor!
The film comes out on Valentines' Day and I definitely recommend seeing it if you're looking for a Romantic film with a supernatural twist!

NOTD: China Glaze 'Ruby Pumps'
I'm in a state of mourning due to the 49'ers losing in the Superbowl this past Sunday. Deciding to show my true fandom even after a loss, I painted my nails in commemoration of my favorite NFL team:
I used China Glaze's 'Ruby Pumps' which is a red nail polish with a TON of red glitters in it. This is with out a doubt one of China Glaze's more famous colors because of how beautiful it looks on the nails when you paint two coats on....it has a layered look to it because of the glitters but its still nice and smooth because of the red base the glitters are suspended in.
Next I took Butter London's 'The Full Monty' and added a little gold stripe to my nails to show my fully 49'ers support. With a hand steadier than a brain surgeon's, I think these bad boys turned out pretty well!
Spoiler alert: I'm not actually a huge fan of the NFL. Since I'm from Norcal originally, I felt inclined to root for the 49'ers when they got into the Super bowl but I really wasn't that heartbroken after the loss...actually I didn't care much at all. I just wanted an excuse to paint stripes on my nails.
Everyone have a nearly perfect in every way sorta day!

Tasty Tuesday: Pepperoni Bread
This tasty treat was introduced to me years ago by my good friend, Larry. I liked it so much that he decided to share with me how to make it which turned out to be insanely easy!! Let me share with you all: Pepperoni Bread! Warning: This is NOT a healthy snack! But it is delicious! I made it for Superbowl Sunday at a get together and it was a HUGE hit. Easy, fast, and tasty which means great as a party appetizer or dish!
What you'll need:
-Pillsbury pizza dough (the kind in the tube that you pop open!)
-two packages of pepperoni
-two bags of mozzarella cheese
1) Roll out the dough on a baking sheet. Place a layer of pepperonis down on the dough
2) Sprinkle on a layer of mozzarella cheese over the pepperonis
3) Put on another layer of pepperonis over that followed by ANOTHER layer of cheese (is there such thing as too much cheese? Didn't think so.)
4) Roll that baby up!! But seriously...this log could be cradled like a baby because it gets so heavy with all the pepperonis and cheese. Be gentle with it as you're rolling...you don't want to rip the dough!
mmmmmmm pizza log.
5) Put the log into the oven on a baking sheet at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. It should cook until its nice and golden brown on top! Cut strips of the log and serve!
It's greasy. It's cheesy. It's salty. It's DELICIOUS.
Again, this is not a low cal option for a party dish to share. If you want that, get some celery sticks and low fat ranch. This however is most DEFINITELY a crowd pleaser!
Let me know if you try this out at a future get together or partayyyyy and if it was tasty!

Neutral look using UD Naked Palette
Hey everyone! Today I decided to bust out my Naked palette and put together a look using only shadows from this palette!
If you don't have this popular product already I definitely recommend it. It has everything you need to create beautiful neutral looks day to day (not to mention the shadow quality is amazing!)
As with any eyeshadow look, you should first prime your eyelids. I used UD primer potion in 'sin' to add a little extra sparkle to my look.
First you're going to want to use a fluffy brush and place the color 'Naked' in your crease. This matte color makes blending much easier later on and provides dimension to your eyelid.
Next pat the color 'Sin' all over your lid with a flat shader brush going all the way to your crease. This pretty pink is so shimmery and reflective. It's a great all over lid color.
With the same fluffy brush you used earlier, blend 'Buck' into your crease on top of 'Naked.' This is a matte medium brown color that works perfect as a crease color. It darkens up your crease perfectly.
Next use the color 'Virgin' as your highlighter. Use a flat brush that can pick up plenty of color to place this light color under your brow bone and on the inner corner of your eye. This brightens up your eye and adds some contour to your brow bone structure.
The final touch is to use the color 'Sidecar' and with the same fluffy brush you've been using, place this color just on the outer corner of your lid. You can go a bit above the crease with this color. It should blend really easily into the browns that you've placed in the crease earlier! I added some black eyeliner and mascara after this step to finish the look.
This look is great for day to day wear or on a date night. Its neutral but has a little bit of purple/pink added in for extra flair...I think its a bit more fun than your standard brown look!
Let me know if you try out this look and also let me know what your favorite color combinations are in the Naked palette!
Have a wonderful day!

NOTD: Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple'
Is anyone feeling particularly 'blue' today? .....I hope not! I hope everyone is feeling all sunshine and daisies today :) Even if you're not feeling moody, I think it's always fun to rock a pretty blue on your nails as a nice color pop! It adds some brightness to any outfit. This blue by Essie is particularly pretty!
This color is called 'Mint Candy Apple' and it is a perfect robin's egg blue, or sky blue if you like that description better!
It is so creamy and opaque... one coat was nearly enough to achieve this perfect finish! I put two coats just to make sure, followed by a coat of seche vite top coat for extra shine.
The application of this polish was great--perfect consistency and easy to work with. And as I mentioned before, I didn't have to build this color up AT ALL to get it to be opaque which says a great deal for such a light color!
I know this color might be a little bit Spring-ish but the weather in LA has been gorgeous recently and made me forget that it was Winter time :)
Essie nail polish is one of my favorite brands and can be purchased at drug stores, Target, and Ulta for about $8 for 0.5 fl oz of product.
Would you rock this blue on your nails??
