NOTD: Formula X for Sephora 'Free Spirit'

Today's nail of the day is a beautiful pastel blue in the shade 'Free Spirit.'  It took 2 coats to achieve full opacity easily and this stuff wore well for 5 days with NO chips. I really love Formula X's formulation and find that I'm almost always satisfied with my manicure after using it!

I highly recommend this shade if you're looking for a pretty blue! Formula X is sold at Sephora for $10.50 a bottle.

NOTD: Formula X for Sephora 'Out of Sight'

L: 'Essie' After School Boy Blazer; R: Formula X 'Brazen'
Today's nail of the day is an effects top coat by Formula X for Sephora. It is a gold fleck top coat named 'Out of Sight,' and it is seriously AWESOME! This polish has a ton of different sized gold flakes suspended in clear polish. The flakes range from being small specked glitter size to being as big as you see on my nails in the picture above.

As with most glitter nail polishes, you do not have much control over where on your nails the glitter falls. You can try different methods to make sure it gets distributed evenly but you can run the risk of making the polish too thick and susceptible to chipping or peeling. I put two thin coats of the polish over two coats of whatever polish I think would pair well with gold and this top coat makes my mani last forever!  I did try this top coat just at the tips of my manicure once but it made the ends of my nails thicker and easily chipped off within a day.

Also to note is that since these flakes are not all uniformly shaped, sometimes they don't lay perfectly flat on your nails and can leave little bumps or rough parts. As long as you're okay with that and you won't incessantly pick at it, then this polish is a good choice for you if you're looking for a unique and fun top coat.

Formula X for Sephora polishes are $10.50 each at Sephora. Check them out HERE!

NOTD: Formula X for Sephora 'Zing' and 'Blast Off'

Today's nail of the day is this awesome neon blue from the Formula X for Sephora line! It the color 'Zing,' and it is the most perfect electric blue color.  I topped this fun color with Formula X's 'Blast Off,' which is a fun black glitter top coat suspended in a clear base. 'Blast Off' has multi-sized hex shaped glitters as well as bar glitter to spice things up a bit.

This color applied easily and was opaque in two coats. This mani lasted for 3 days, chip-free. I recommend using a base coat with neon polishes because they will stain your nails!!

Formula X For Sephora costs $10.50 on Sephora.com.

NOTD: Formula X for Sephora in 'Illustrious'

Formula X for Sephora has quickly become my favorite nail polish brand! I think the formula is fantastic, the colors are plentiful, and the design of the packaging is totally chic to display out in the open.  I'm building this collection slowly but surely, and my most recent addition is this gorgeous pastel pistachio shade, 'Illustrious.' This minty shade has been 'in' for a couple seasons now and I don't see it going anywhere in a hurry! This particular shade sets itself apart from other similar hues because it has a gorgeous pearl sheen running through it. The pearlized finish makes the color look extra shiny and extra gorgeous!

This formula required 2 full coats to be completely opaque and the wear time is about 5 days with no chippage. I love this formula and think its worth the cost to get some of your favorite colors from this brand!

NOTD: Formula X for Sephora 'Chaotic'

Today's nail of the day is a glittery top coat by Formula X for Sephora called 'Chaotic.' This top coat is filled with black and white hexagon and square shaped glitters of various sizes. This stuff is so cool! In the picture above I layered two thin coats of this glitter over a plain black Formula X polish and the effect looks like outer space!

This polish lasted for days chip free on my nails and attracted many compliments. As with most glitter polishes, it was tough to remove and I resorted to chipping and peeling off the layers of glitter. I think this polish looks great layered over black or white, but it would look really cool over a red or bright pink so you can see both the black and white glitters easily!

Formula X for Sephora polishes are sold exclusively at Sephora and are $10.50 for 0.4fl oz.

Would you rock this chaotic nail color??

NOTD: Formula X for Sephora 'Brazen'

Formula X for Sephora continues to impress me, this time with today's nail of the day: a bright carnation pink called 'Brazen.' I call these shades of pink 'princess pink' and they are my favorite colors for the Spring time. I thought this color was really similar to Butter London's Fruit Machine, and indeed they are very similar but the Formula X formulation is wayyyyy better. This color lasted for days chip free on me and look at how smooth, creamy, and professional it looks?

Formula X polishes are $10.50 each and come in beautiful acrylic and white plastic packaging. The Formula X formula has been great in my experience with their colored line, though I can't speak for their glitters and effects lines.

NOTD: Formula X for Sephora 'Alive'

Formula X for Sephora has done it... they've given me the color I've been searching for for years. I've always loved peachy coral colored things and have been searching for the perfect peach for my nails. I've thought I'd come close before with Butter London's Trout Pout, or Essie's A Crewed Interest. Both of those colors were a little too orange for my taste and in certain indoor looking just looked... not cute.
When I saw Formula X's 'Alive' in Sephora, I knew I'd found the one, and when I applied it to my nails, my thoughts were further confirmed. First of all, the formula of these polishes is PERFECT. Completely opaque with a creamy finish in two thin coats with a perfectly sized brush for easy application.  The color lasts a couple days chip free. I notice this polish tends to lift up on the corners and come off in large chips, not staining the nail underneath.
I love this color so much and I think it will be a staple for Spring and Summer. I've been wearing it non-stop since I bought it and am so happy that I found my perfect Peach!
Formula X polishes are exclusive to Sephora and cost $10.50 a bottle. I think the acryclic and white plastic packaging is modern and beautiful and the formula is well worth the cost.
